Our Fork in the Road

These feelings are something
I could never pawn away,
So I have to try my best living
With all the right regrets.

Worn my heart on my sleeve,
Instead placing it on blank pages as text,
I hope you know that we were the good times
That I'll think fondly about.
But today, I woke up
Feeling, for the first time since forever,
That I could see the future again.

We would say “I love you”
With fondness in our eyes,
